We’re not a corporate concept; we’re three Houstonians—Richard, Nick, and Tuck—who brought together our individual obsessions to create the ultimate gathering spot right here in the Garden Oaks/Oak Forest neighborhood.
Our connection runs deep: We live here, we're raising our families here, and we're active members of the local schools and churches. The Station is a direct extension of our homes.
Richard Orozco, The Visionary (Founder & Managing Partner)
Richard is the engine behind The Station. For him, this spot is a dream realized, built to be the "second home" for local families. He brings a rare, powerful combination of skills: he’s a seasoned pitmaster who successfully launched and scaled other acclaimed ventures like Heights BBQ, but he also has a background in corporate accounting & finance. He’s equally dedicated to mastering the perfect brisket bark and running the business with rock-solid stability. Richard makes sure our quality is world-class, and our doors stay open for generations.
Nicholas Orozco, The Chief Smoke Officer (Pitmaster, Partner)
If you love our food (and we know you will), Nicholas is the man to thank. He’s an award-winning master of the pit, bringing his high-volume, precision experience from legendary joints like J-Bar-M Restaurant—an establishment recognized on the prestigious Texas Monthly Top Newcomer list. Nicholas’s expertise ensures every slice of brisket is perfect, every rib is tender, and the kitchen runs like a perfectly tuned engine. He's the one who guarantees that our promise of authentic, high-quality Central HOUSTON Style BBQ is delivered every single day.
Kyle Tucker, The Chief Vibes Officer (General Manager, Partner)
Kyle is our expert in bringing people together. As our General Manager, he oversees the flow of the entire restaurant, making sure the experience is seamless, welcoming, and fun for everyone. From the family enjoying the playground to the corporate clients booking large catering orders. Having successfully run his own BBQ business (Brisket Houston), Kyle understands that great food is just the starting point. He focuses on building genuine relationships within the community and with our extensive network of catering clients across Greater Houston, making The Station the go-to partner for any sized event. He ensures our hospitality is as outstanding as our Q.
